Polymer Stabilizer Road Method
Building roads in arid, rain-free areas with a shortage of sand and gravel has always been a major engineering challenge. Previously, the common method involved transporting crushed stone and cement, which was not only costly and time-consuming, but also caused dust to fly everywhere vehicles passed over the unpaved surface, and it became loose after a few strong winds. Now, a new polymer soil stabilizer---a water-based polymer combines local materials with chemical curing, transforming ordinary dirt roads into high-strength, low-dust load-bearing layers.

During construction, simply dilute the liquid soil stabilizer with water in a proportional amount, spray it onto the excavated soil, mix thoroughly, and compact it to form the road. This liquid is neutral, non-corrosive to metals, and contains no heavy metals, organic halogens, or petroleum byproducts. The cured road surface is waterproof and, provided drainage is adequate, will not return to mud even in heavy rain, truly achieving the goal of "paved today, open to traffic tomorrow." From farm paths and temporary construction site access roads to mine yards and unpaved parking lots, any soil containing a certain proportion of sticky particles can be stabilized with our liquid soil stabilizer. The CBR can be increased by more than three times, deflection values significantly reduced, and frequent heavy truck traffic is less likely to leave rutting. Furthermore, this liquid also has a dust suppression effect, and its dust suppression effect isn't a short-term "surface seal" effect; it increases over time. The polymer continuously reacts with active components in the soil, and the pavement's strength continues to slowly increase for a month after construction. Even if the surface layer exhibits minor wear, the underlying solidified layer remains intact, and a simple reapplication of diluted liquid quickly restores pavement performance.
The lifetime maintenance cost of the polymer soil stabilizer is significantly lower than that of traditional gravel roads, and the economic benefits are significant: multiple steps, such as gravel procurement, long-distance transportation, and paving and compacting, are eliminated, reducing direct costs by 30% to 50%, and shortening construction time from several weeks to two or three days. The reduced need for frequent sweeping and watering translates into annual maintenance savings that are nearly enough to pave a new road. During construction, heavy rain and cold weather must be avoided, strictly adhering to the principle of continuous spraying, mixing, and compacting.
The resulting road has a service life of over 10 years. Even in the extreme conditions of the Northwest Gobi Desert, where daytime and nighttime temperatures fluctuate by 50 degrees Celsius, the pavement remains intact, without frost heaves, slurrying, or flaking. This provides a stable route for projects such as the transportation of large wind turbines and the centralized installation of photovoltaic panels. After completion, the equipment can be removed from the site, and the road can be retained and continued in use, becoming a truly "green temporary road."
